About Anna Casey
I’m a strategist, systems thinker, and data storyteller obsessed with finding the hidden levers that make real change possible. At Cape Fear Collective, I play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy and leading high-impact research projects. Over my tenure, I have led and contributed to a project portfolio valued at over $1 million. My proudest accomplishment is leading the development of HealthyCommunitiesNC.org, a statewide data platform we built from concept to a tool now serving over researchers, policymakers, and community leaders. With a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and a background in designing and teaching university-level courses, I bridge the gap between rigorous research and practical application. I am passionate about using data to solve systemic problems and am driven to lead initiatives that create lasting impact on a broader scale.
