Anna uses a variety of techniques and modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Approach, Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy to help clients understand and address their issues. However, psychotherapy is an art as well as a science. To be effective, it requires a relationship between client and practitioner founded on trust and mutual understanding. ABOUT ANNA GARDNER
Anna is a senior executive, former attorney and philanthropist with 20+ years experience in the legal services industry and non-profit sector. Former Executive Director of International Lawyers for Africa (ILFA) where she took ILFA to another level including the running and expansion of the Flagship Programme, the introduction of the Intra-Africa Project, start-up of Angaza Africa, development of proper policies and procedures in readiness for the successful application for charitable status and much more. Prior to joining ILFA Anna spent 9 years at Hewlett Packard in various leadership roles including complex services Managing Counsel for UK and Ireland, Legal Director and Regional Counsel for Middle East, Mediterranean & Africa and Legal Director, Growth Markets. Anna also spent 6 years at Accenture as a complex services lawyer supporting Accenture’s Energy business unit in EMEA and as lead lawyer for the Republic of South Africa and as Legal Manager and Legal Executive at Fujitsu and BBC Worldwide respectively. She is now training to become a psychotherapist, having been elected as Public Governor for Buckinghamshire at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust in 2021.Anna gained her LLB at Nottingham University in 1991 and qualified as a lawyer in England in 1994.She is married with 2 daughters and a son.
