ABOUT ANNABELLE SIVILLS
As a dedicated Classics student at Durham University, I am seeking to broaden my understanding of the professional world by pursuing a placement year. Through this experience, I aim to apply the unique skill set I have developed in my studies to real-world scenarios within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. My academic journey has refined my analytical and critical thinking abilities, as well as my capacity to devise thoughtful and creative solutions to complex problems. The interdisciplinary nature of my degree has equipped me with essential skills which I feel will prove beneficial in a varied range of jobs whether it be of a legal nature, economic or business-orientated. Given my economic background in addition to my classical one, I have both an understanding of consumer behaviour patterns, and the ability to assess various strategic options, all of which are crucial in professional decision-making. Additionally, my proficiency in strategic communication and my commitment to fostering efficiency, hard work, and collaboration make me eager to contribute meaningfully to a forward-thinking team. I am confident that a placement year will not only enhance my personal development but also allow me to actively contribute to an organisation, making me a valuable asset to any professional team.
