Lead IRS-required Community Health Needs Assessment process for nine hospitals in nine different markets. • Improve adherence to IRS reporting requirements of tax-exempt hospitals through policy and reporting updates.• Develop and implement, through matrixed leadership, a community engagement strategy for Kentucky’s largest health system, under system Chief Strategy Officer.• Improve accuracy of community benefit reporting by directly engaging personnel from each hospital and quantifying value of work through Lyon’s Software CBISA platform for Schedule H purposes. Complete Schedule H in partnership with Tax Director.• Develop equity-focused and evidence-based community benefit interventions with respect to each community’s identity and resources using expertise of local market leaders, outreach personnel, and local health departments. Establish focus on outcomes-metrics over process-only metrics.• Design marketing materials to ensure Community Health Needs Assessments are useful, engaging works.• Identify and elevate unique community health funding opportunities for local hospital foundations to engage new and established donors.• Provide subject-matter expertise to hospitals in areas such as addressing social determinants of health, implementing community health worker programs, conducting appropriate violence prevention interventions, and offering culturally-appropriate community health education.• As part of staff retention solutions, develop and share community impact stories with staff to highlight mission.• Mentor multiple post-graduate fellows on health equity and community health projects.
