About Anna Turkenich
Anna is a tax partner in PwC\'s New York office. She has over 25 years of experience in the Firm\'s Mergers & Acquisitions practice where she specializes in the tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions. Her tax experience is primarily concentrated in domestic and cross border mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and spin-offs, joint ventures and corporate restructuring as well as a number of other large legal entity restructuring, integration and separation projects. Anna is widely respected by her clients for the breadth and depth of technical tax knowledge in the U.S. and global tax issues impacting multinational companies in all phases of the transaction related process and thereafter. Anna has significant experience in performing tax due diligence, modeling, and tax-efficient structuring of a wide-range of insurance related transactions for private equity and Fortune 500 companies. Over the past fifteen years she represented strategic multinational corporate and major private equity clients in large and smaller scale tax due diligence and structuring engagements involving a number of global financial services, asset management, banking, and insurance companies. She has a deep knowledge of the financial service industry related tax matters and was invited to speak at the Federal Bar and other tax conferences addressing current topics in the area of financial services, including asset management and insurance related acquisitions, dispositions, restructuring, and similar transactions.Anna graduated from Fordham University with Masters in Science in Taxation and Masters in Business Administration in Accounting and Finance. She is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State. She co-authored several articles on the tax matters related to the net value in tax-free reorganizations, worthless debt and equity securities, imposition of restrictions on executive compensation, and goodwill considerations published by BNA Tax Management Library and Journal of Taxation.
