   At the Rhode Island Department of Health, I am responsible for providing strategic guidance and technical assistance in communications for the Center for Emergency Preparedness and Response. I maintain the Department\'s Emergency Public Information Plan and train communications colleagues on the plan and its components. I collaborate with subject matter experts to create and deliver recorded video and live public health plans and trainings. I develop talking points for Center and Department leadership on public health emergency preparedness and response. I identify disease- and event-specific messaging priorities with Center, response, and Department leadership and I develop and implement communications plans to reach priority populations with important public health information. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I developed and implemented communications plans for the state\'s COVID-19 vaccination campaign and worked with subject matter experts to translate new and changing public health science into actionable recommendations for people who live in Rhode Island. Finally, I coordinated paid media campaigns with external vendors to inform the public about vaccination opportunities and guidelines.
