ABOUT ANNA THOMAS

Anna works as a Lead Engineer at Hudl, with over 8 years industry experience. In her last role she worked as a Senior Frontend Engineer and Practice Manager at InfoSum. At InfoSum she focuses on helping customers protect consumer privacy and the commercial value of their data. She champions the use of new testing libraries to construct pipelines that encourage easily maintainable and reliable tests. She has led teams through both scrum and kanban methodologies, with a focus on the technical breakdown of stories and well documented tickets to ensure a high quality workflow. Anna regularly leads the development of new features from conception, through design, and into implementation and testing. These features are carefully managed in collaboration with Product and Development teams to ensure a robust and expected result.Previously she worked as the Lead Frontend Engineer at Filament AI, which has a focus on delivering projects with AI at its core, extracting unrealised value from client’s data, and optimising business processes. She has built three distinct products with a small team in React and Angular, including tooling that helps with the processing and annotation of data, and a bespoke conversational interface to provide analytics on top of your chatbot NLU.Anna spent three years delivering innovative proof of concepts and bespoke solutions to IBM clients as an Emerging Technology Specialist with a focus on front end development and data visualisation. She has run Hackathons and Design Thinking workshops to help clients use new technology to solve real world problems. Her recent achievements include winning Hackathons such as Facebook Project Journalism and Oglivy & Mather Cognify the Health of a Nation.
