Dr. Anna Scott is a scientist and entrepreneur who builds technology companies that solve humanity\'s toughest resource challenges—from the ocean floor to the atmosphere.As co-founder and CEO of Mithril Minerals, she\'s pioneering low-cost robotic systems to collect ocean critical minerals with minimal environmental impact—unlocking sustainable supply chains for the clean energy transition. Previously, Dr. Scott co-founded Project Canary, an energy data analytics company that became an industry leader in measuring and reducing methane emissions across oil and gas operations. Her work earned recognition as a 2022 ‘Influential Women in Energy\'.As a scientist, Dr. Scott has led climate and environmental research initiatives across the globe, from rural Alabama to informal settlements in Kenya, collaborating with NASA, The World Bank, and the Red Cross/Red Crescent\'s International Climate Centre. In Baltimore, she founded the Baltimore Open Air project, a pioneering community science initiative that designed, built, and deployed hyperlocal air quality monitoring networks. Currently, Dr. Scott serves as a commissioner on Austin’s Joint Sustainability Commission, a citizen board that oversees the implementation of Austin’s Climate Equity plan. Dr. Scott holds a PhD in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Johns Hopkins University, where she also earned her Master of Arts and Sciences in Earth Science. She completed her undergraduate degree in Mathematics at the University of Chicago and a Master\'s in Applied Mathematics from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia.
