About Anna Schmid

I believe in building a world where accessibility isn’t an afterthought, it’s the standard.As a disability advocate, storyteller, and speaker, my passion and purpose lie within creating more inclusive spaces, especially in workplaces where people with disabilities are often overlooked. I’m the founder of EnABLE, an employee resource group that grew from 18 members to nearly 1,800 globally under my leadership. What started as a grassroots effort became a thriving community and a catalyst for systemic change.My lived experience with a physical disability informs everything I do. From shaping equitable workplace policies to pushing for accessible travel and wellness solutions that don’t leave disabled people behind, I bring both strategy and heart to my work. I also write and speak openly about disability, burnout, and the gaps in support systems that too often force people to choose between survival and self-worth.Whether I’m leading inclusive strategy, collaborating with global partners, or creating content that challenges outdated narratives, I strive to spark empathy, shift perspectives, and elevate voices that deserve to be heard.Let’s connect.
