ABOUT ANNA SANDERSON WEISS

I’m a senior lawyer and law firm executive with over 20 years of international experience advising clients and leading cross-border strategic initiatives. Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales and registered as a Foreign Legal Consultant in Florida, I advise insurers, reinsurers, and corporates on complex global claims, coverage, and commercial issues, with a particular focus on CAR/EAR, political risk, and reinsurance. As Global Relationship Development Director and Partner (England & Wales) at Kennedys, I lead global initiatives to strengthen client relationships, foster collaboration, and build long-term networks across jurisdictions. This includes developing the firm’s global alumni program and supporting strategic growth opportunities worldwide. Previously, I led Kennedys’ operations across Latin America and the Caribbean, where I was responsible for regional business development, financial management, HR, compliance, and firm integration. I’ve also worked in senior legal roles in London, including in-house in a general counsel capacity, advising on major infrastructure and development projects and commercial agreements — including the transformation of the Millennium Dome into The O2 Arena. Based in the U.S. and fluent in English, Spanish, and with conversational French, I bring a global outlook, strong cultural fluency, and a practical, people-focused approach. I’m passionate about supporting others through networks and mentorship. I serve on the leadership committee of APIW’s Miami chapter, leading on corporate affairs, and enjoy building meaningful professional communities. Outside of work, I’m a practicing abstract artist.
