ABOUT ANNA SAMANAMU

I am a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional and MSW graduate student with a strong commitment to promoting academic success, emotional well-being, and inclusive practices. In my current role, I support autistic students within a self-contained classroom by implementing ABA-informed strategies, reinforcing behavioral expectations, and assisting with individualized instruction to ensure a safe and structured learning environment. My graduate studies and clinical training emphasize trauma-informed assessment and intervention. My research focuses on meaning-making and grief counseling for individuals who have lost a sibling, with particular attention to identity reconstruction, life perspective, and long-term psychological outcomes. I maintain a 4.0 GPA and continuously seek opportunities to integrate evidence-based practice into my professional growth.Beyond my academic and educational work, I mentor Salesian Young Adults Group, where I guide young adults in leadership development, community engagement, and service-oriented initiatives. I also collaborate with athletes, actors, and small business owners to develop visual arts designs and branding content, combining creativity with emerging technologies to support their professional goals.I am committed to work grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and integrity, and I strive to contribute meaningfully to the fields of education, social work, and community development.
