ABOUT ANNA ROBINETTE
I\'m a data analyst who started life as a graphic designer – and that creative background gives me a unique perspective on making data beautiful and meaningful. After 8 years in publishing at Walker Books, I discovered my passion for the stories hidden in spreadsheets and databases. What began as analysing a team \'step challenge\' evolved into building automated data pipelines, creating interactive dashboards, and helping a sports company understand their customer retention patterns. What I bring to data analysis:* Publishing industry insight – I understand the business from manuscript to market* Visual storytelling – Making complex data accessible to everyone from editors to executives* Self-taught technical skills – Python, SQL, Tableau, BigQuery (because curiosity is my best teacher)* Cross-functional collaboration – Whether it\'s training university students or facilitating community workshops, I love helping people understand dataRecent projects I\'m proud of: Built a Snowflake database analyzing sewing pattern sales (CodeFirstGirls SQL course) Created automated BigQuery pipeline tracking sports community engagement Analyzed 74,896 Project Gutenberg books across 70 languages Turned step challenge data into an engaging AfterEffects animationWhen I\'m not diving into datasets, you might find me leading walking tours around Walthamstow (funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund!), facilitating typography workshops for emerging illustrators, or guest lecturing at Manchester Met.I believe the best insights come from combining technical skills with genuine curiosity about people and stories.
