ABOUT ANNA RESSIN
I am a passionate graduate student currently pursuing a Master of Health Science in Medical Physiology. My program focuses on developing the skillset of young professionals in this field to better equip them for the work field. Skills I am currently learning include data analysis using R studio for large clinical datasets, commercialization aspects such as creating business proposals and conducting market analysis, clinical interventions taught by leading physicians in the field, and scientific writing skills. In addition to my studies, I have extensive experience in emergency first response and teaching. I have worked as an emergency first responder for 4 years in different settings, such as volunteering for ambulance service, campus emergency response teams, and event medical. Furthermore, I have 7 years of teaching experience as a teaching assistant, supplemental instructor, tutor, and Red Cross First Responder Instructor. This type of work has given me key transferrable skills, such as leadership, teamwork, problem solving under pressure, communication, and knowledge transfer and translation. In my free time, I like to take on creative projects. I love to draw and paint, and I also enjoy combining my love for science and art through medical illustration. I also love to spend time in the outdoors, whether it’s skiing in the winter or hiking and mountain climbing in the summer. I am always looking for new opportunities to help me grow both professionally and personally. I am eager to learn and use my skills to make a meaningful contribution.
