ABOUT ANNA PASTORE
Hi! I am a 1L at the University of Virginia School of Law working towards a career in public interest, specifically immigration law. I graduated from Oberlin College with a B.A. in Hispanic Studies and Sociology, where I focused on language justice, legal advocacy, and community-based research. I have supported immigrant communities through hands-on work at the Immigrant Worker Project, the New York Legal Assistance Group, and Earlham College\'s Border Studies Program in Tucson, Arizona. I conducted asylum intakes in Spanish, assisted with I-589 applications, and engaged directly with migrant families to make the complex legal landscape of American immigration more accessible. I hope to emphasize the importance of empathy and compassion in my advocacy work, forming genuine connections with clients.
