ABOUT ANNA NTALLI
Head of New Projects in Allergopharma GmbH & Co I attended the American College of Thessaloniki under full scholarship (20••••08) for my high school studies and immediately got accepted in the School of Pharmacy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH, Greece). Early in my undergraduate studies, I discovered my passion for research, so I joined the “wet lab” world in my third year of studies in order to contribute to health innovations. I performed my undergraduate and master research studies at the Panagiotidis lab (20••••16)(Pharmacology department), where I mastered many molecular and cellular biology techniques and I acquired deep knowledge in the field of Virology and Molecular Diagnostics. I graduated first in my class (both in my undergraduate and master curriculum). I decided that I wanted to pursue a Ph.D. abroad, so I applied and earned a Marie Sklodowska Curie scholarship in the EU funded ENLIGHT-TEN Innovative Training Network (20••••19). This exposed me to the fascinating worlds of Immunology and Bioinformatics, learning several state of the art techniques such as WGBS, low input RNA sequencing, Pyrosequencing, FACS etc. In addition, I was trained to analyse the big data sets that we have generated in Huehn’s lab at Helmholtz Center for Infection Research (Germany). I have acquired many valuable experiences by working in several interdisciplinary and multi-cultural, academic or industrial environments, which I thoroughly enjoy and acknowledge. I had the great opportunity to be involved in the organization of 3 scientific conferences: 2 Young Scientist Forums of the HSBMB (180 registrants-2014 and 220 registrants-2015) and one Satellite Symposium of the European Congress of Immunology 2018 in Amsterdam, Netherlands (200+ registrants; 6 distinguished speakers). Now my new mission in Allergopharma is to do my best to improve the life quality of people suffering from allergies. With Allergopharma allergies are in best hands.
