The Watermaster is an arm of the Court, and as such, duties require a strategic partnership with the GM, heavy interaction with legal and engineering consultants as well as parties to the Judgment to keep staff, stakeholders, and consultants well connected and informed of relevant matters within the Chino Basin.• Leads day-to-day business operations including administration, human resources, recruitment, and finance, conduct research, prepare reports, process information requests, prepare correspondences, lead all event planning including business meetings, conferences, and workshops.• Responsible for tracking and management of commitments/obligations arising from the Judgment, oversight of Court filings, contracts administration, vendors, and facilities management. • Duties include oversight of recurring monthly Committee and Board meetings, analyzing staffing levels and benefits, review and approval of financial transactions, statements, and audits which typically includes creating, editing, reviewing, and approving of reports and interfacing with consultants to ensure accuracy.• Other duties include supervision of administrative and finance staff, recruitment, training, purchasing, crafting and reviewing of all published reports and administrative manuals.The Chino Basin is one of the largest groundwater basins in Southern California containing approximately acre-feet of water and has an unused storage capacity of approximately acre-feet. The Chino Basin consists of approximately 235 square miles of the upper Santa Ana River watershed and lies within portions of San Bernardino, Riverside, and Los Angeles counties. Approximately 5% of the Chino Basin is located in Los Angeles County, 15% in Riverside County, and 80% in San Bernardino County.
