ABOUT ANNA MADEIRA
Anna chose to pursue architecture because it is a profession that fully utilizes both the creative and rational aspects of the intellect. She has served as project architect for several complex multi-building projects, including the ONroute service centres along Ontario’s 400 and 401 highways, and Downtown Markham, a major mixed-use community being developed near the Rouge River, and the redevelopment adaptive reuse of North York’s Yonge Sheppard Centre, one of Toronto’s largest commercial and mixed-use developments. Anna was also an integral part of the Planning, Design and Compliance team that prepared standards for the construction of the Athletes’ Village of the 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games. She has worked on a wide range of commercial broadcast, residential, seniors’ residential, adaptive reuse and retail projects, including the renovation of the store at the former CHUM City Building.
