ABOUT ANNA JULIA SCHMIDT
Consultant/scientific advisor: Analysis and implementation Lecturer/Speaker: Developing mindsets Artist: Open-minded creativity (for more information see \"Projects\" below) “Have courage, be kind, never give up” - this is my guiding principle in my professional and private life. Empathy, loyalty, honesty and respect are the cornerstones of my work. I combine science with art to change things - for the better. My projects are as diverse as I am: Consultant/scientific advisor, lecturer, and artist. A Chameleon. For me, it\'s about the passion for the projects I work on, not the job titles. Referring to this my diversity is my strength. Growing up in a working-class family, receiving scholarships and awards, getting my master\'s degree at the top of my class with a grade of 0.8, and right now writing a doctoral thesis and habilitation. A wild artist\'s heart and a scientifically analytical brain. At home in nature with dogs, enjoying a quiet life, but equally loving adventure and travel, exploring the world from Siberia to India and Israel. I am not just a translator, building bridges between fields and people, I am a bridge, a mosaic of many different interests, backgrounds, and experiences. Whatever the activity, positive transformation is at the heart of my work. To do this, I combine my knowledge of the social sciences (political science, cultural anthropology, sociology), with project management, leadership, art and humanity. I do not use art or science as an \"ivory tower“, but apply them practically and purposefully to the wishes of my project partners, often without them even realizing that art or sociology are implied. This is how analysis meets creativity. Disciplined work meets free thoughts. Structure meets freedom. Theory combines practice. Ambition envelops rebellion. Passion parried with a well-thought-out plan. All these things are not mutually exclusive, they complement each other and open new possibilities for project implementation. Through my doctoral thesis and my own life experience, I know (unfortunately) how bad the world can be: Violence, discrimination, diseases. I want to do something about that: Make a change. Be a changemaker. In my private life, in my voluntary work, in my activism and in my professional life, I stand up for the following issues: Well-Being, equality, diversity, environmental protection, international exchange, children and young people from socially less privileged backgrounds, education, mental and physical health, supporting people in their positive transformation processes.
