About Anna Hull

I flourish in fast-paced, community focused, and driven environments. I am a loyal team player that seeks mentorship experiences, both as a student and teacher. In my three years on staff at UW’s student newspaper The Daily, I have authored over 200 bylines and covered topics ranging from student protests to campus administration, and from violence in the area to local businesses. These bylines have given me an appreciation for the U-District community, along with a practical understanding of public-interest communication. My editorial roles have required that I manage a staff of dozens, balancing a critical eye with a role of mentorship. I have fostered and supported a vibrant newsroom community through onboarding and training new reporters. Along with my growing passion for journalism, I possess comprehensive research experience. My work as a co-editor for a Rome-based Task Force through UW’s Jackson School of International Studies supported my curiosity and investigative approach to all forms of writing.
