ABOUT ANNA HICKEN
An economic geologist and exploration geochemist with extensive experience in industry, academia and government. Main interests are creating and executing corporate strategies, developing technical work programs, ensuring technical excellence, project management & understanding the way geochemistry and structural geology can be used to trace gold, base-metal and battery metal deposits. Geoscience outreach to both the public and private sector and geoscience AI are another area of interest. Another specialization is using indicator minerals to trace the source of a variety of mineral deposits such as VMS, gold, uranium, diamonds, MVT and PGE in a post-glacial environment. Other skills include designing and implementing drilling to solve structural and geochemical traps for mineralization, QA/QC, regional to deposit scale bedrock and surficial mapping, 2D GIS analysis and compilation, 3D geologic modeling of mineral deposits, taxonomy and ontology creation for mineral exploration, petrology and geophysical interpretation of ore deposits.
