Responsible for providing Health & Safety advice in respect to recognised best practice and meeting legal requirements for the Science Museum Group. • Ensuring a Health, Safety and Wellbeing management system is in place at SMG, including the development of relevant Policies, procedures and training.• Working closely with the wider P&C team, implement SMG’s wellbeing offer and monitoring. • Ensure SMG has a suitable governance and monitoring process for Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Security and Safeguarding. • Provide leadership and guidance to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team, building relationships across the Group and supporting with complex situations. • Leading and managing, in partnership with colleagues across the Museum Group, the security contract to ensure the Security Adviser is delivering the strategic requirements of SMG’s security provision• Ensuring an effective framework is in place for emergency preparedness and business continuity, monitoring department plans and training compliance. • Working with the Director of Learning, implementing a safeguarding framework, ensuring the Group has adequate safeguarding policies, procedures and training in place.
