ABOUT ANNA-CELINE G.

Anna-Celine holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Human Development, graduating cum laude at the top of her class. She further advanced her expertise with a Master\'s degree in Applied Psychology: Clinical Mental Health Counseling, where she excelled in the top 1% of her class. She attended University of California, Merced for 2 years undertaking a doctoral program where she gained valuable skills as a quantitative researcher in health psychology.In her role as a doctoral researcher and lab manager at the Stress and Health Lab, Anna-Celine honed her skills in research design and statistical analysis while managing and assisting with various projects. She is skilled at psychometrics and research design, for example she designed and tested items to help improve an established standardized assessment for her independent research project. Her research interests are vast, focusing on the mechanisms driving human behavior, psychopathology related to neural connections and pathways, genetics, etiology, social perceptions, cognitive processes, perceptions, social/group dynamics, personality, psychometrics, and mental health interventions. Her doctoral research projects examined the relationship and underlying mechanism that lead to exacerbated anxiety using cognitive processes and personality traits as the driving variables in both cross sectional research and ecological momentary measures. Previously, she served as a Professional Research Assistant at CU Anschutz\'s Kempe Center, contributing to a study on the efficacy of Multisystemic Therapy using teletherapy versus in-home therapy. She also worked as a clinical therapist providing group and individual counseling to populations from youth-elders in both private practice and agency settings. She\'s also worked for the government in the behavioral sector.Currently, she is part of a global research team studying social connections and loneliness, and for the Center for Conflict and Cooperation at NYU.Anna-Celine\'s academic and professional career journey is marked by her involvement in multidisciplinary psychological research projects and collaboration with other researchers in engineering and public health. In industry, she’s worked with professionals like psychologists, psychiatrists, medical doctors, and clinical therapists.Anna-Celine values integrating research evidence based approaches to clinical interventions and methods.
