About Anna Cabanes

As a co-founder of Onconecta, I am passionate about improving access to quality cancer care and education for communities in Latin America and beyond. With over 20 years of experience in oncology research, public health, and global programs, I have led and supported multiple initiatives to advance cancer prevention, detection, treatment, and survivorship. I have a strong background in scientific research, community health, management, and global partnerships, having worked with leading organizations such as Susan G. Komen, and Global Focus on Cancer. I have also developed and implemented innovative solutions to address the unmet needs of cancer patients and caregivers, such as online platforms, mobile apps, and peer support networks. I am fluent in three languages and have a PhD in pharmacology, and an MPH from Johns Hopkins University. I am motivated by the vision of a world where everyone has equal access to cancer care and support, and I am committed to collaborating with diverse stakeholders to make this vision a reality.
