About Annamaria Akrawi

Hello, my name is Anna Akrawi and I am a junior at Oakland University currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Marketing. I aspire to build a career in marketing, with particular interests in product and digital marketing. Through an internship with the Oakland University athletics department, I worked alongside a wonderful team of media creators and marketing team members to provide total coverage of all of our astonishing athletes. I learned a multitude of photography and video techniques, leaving me with a full skill set in capturing the most powerful moments and enhancing them through editing. This led me to work towards building my own photography business that I personally manage and market to a large number of platforms to build my customer base. I specialize in capturing portraits for precious moments such as milestones and intimate family photos and pride myself on establishing a communicative space where my clients can feel comfortable and confident, allowing them to cherish those moments forever. The further development of my marketing skills can be accredited to my experience working as a marketing and media intern at the Gary Burnstein Community Health Clinic. At the non-profit clinic, I work to further promote their services to all members of the community through digital marketing initiatives such as photographing the various specialties of the clinic, capturing impactful testimonials of volunteer physicians on film, graphically designing social media flyers, and running all social media accounts. I collaborate with the teams at the Guerilla Politic marketing firm and the Gary Burnstein Community Health Clinic to ensure that we manifest all aspects of the Clinic’s mission through inclusive content.
