Conduct assessments and provide technical assistance to create and support food donation programs for clients including: LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS (PW), Smart-Business Recycling Program SAN GABRIEL VALLEY COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS (SGVCOG), Regional Food Recovery Programo Provide programmatic evaluation, outreach and guidance to secure the participation of edible food generators and food recovery organizations in the member cities’ SB 1383 (Short-Lived Climate Pollutants) compliance efforts.o Formulate, plan and implement strategic recommendations to assess food recovery organizations’ ability to accelerate surplus food diversion efforts as per State regulations.o Identify challenges, propose solutions and design an RFP evaluation/selection process to develop regional food redistribution hubs.o Provide ongoing technical assistance to implement successful expansion of hub program as well as develop a work plan to drive development and deployment of additional food recovery activities.
