About Ann Ngo

I seek to enter the tech industry at an entry-level. I was a computer science major for 4 years at Cal Poly Pomona. However, I later switched to an English Literature Major because I experienced an academic roadblock related to practicing Java programming. After I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a bachelor\'s degree, I went to Mt. Sac as a Computer Network Administration Major. Shortly after getting an associate\'s degree at Mt. Sac, I also earned a Big Data Analytics certificate. Afterward, I completed an internship at Mt. Sac while studying PowerShell and creating a script that checks whether a command requires elevated privileges. After many years, I became a content writer for Anzir Tech, a company focusing on making tabletop games, a majority categorized in the mystery genre. Recently, when I am not writing content for a tabletop game, I am attempting to refresh the old skills I gained from Cal Poly Pomona and Mt. Sac. In particular, I joined the Delete the Divide organization and enrolled in the NETACAD Introduction to Cybersecurity_2023 course provided by Cisco Networking Academy to refresh my cybersecurity basics. After I completed the course, I posted a detailed review of it as an article on my LinkedIn account. This article and a previous article, called Rondo of Swords\'\"Route Maneuver System\'s\" Underappreciated Gameplay Brilliance, I have posted before, are methods for me to practice my writing. While I reflect on my interests, opinions, and experiences on certain content I discovered. Additionally, I am refreshing my Python skills on Cisco Networking Academy\'s website because I want to practice my programming and logic skills despite my previous failures in studying the Java programming language. My fields of interest include literature, AI, translations, computers, storytelling, writing, programming, content analysis, languages, translations, editing, technology, cybersecurity, and video games. Therefore, I am attempting to prioritize jobs related to my specific fields of interest, with tech-related jobs having a higher priority. This prioritization also means I will try to connect to as many people related to the tech industry as possible.
