ABOUT ANN-ALICE TICHA

I am a currently a Research Analyst at the International Monetary Fund. I graduated from the Johns Hopkins University SAIS at Washington, DC with a dual degree in Master of Arts in International Relations and a Masters of International Economics and Finance. Previously I received a Master of Science in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford. I am President Emeritus of Vanguard Think Tank and V-BRYGE Conference, where I served over 6 years to foster research and academic exchange among student and young professional social scientists across the globe.Academically, I focus on China, specifically on its public policy regarding environmental protection, economic restructuring, and labor relations. I wrote my graduate dissertation on the role of State-owned Enterprises on the Energy Transition in China, and an undergraduate Honors thesis “Omnibalancing In China: Structural Constraints On Environmental Policy Implementation” under the supervision of Professor Steven David, a renowned scholar in international politics.In my spare time, I enjoy reading on comparative political philosophy, especially that of Ancient China and Modern Europe. Previously, I have lived and studied in the Czech Republic, USA, China, Germany, and the UK and am proficient in the respective languages and cultures.I am open to positions in private, public, and multilateral sectors, in the fields of international affairs and relations, social science research, consulting, policy analysis, etc.
