About Ankur Agarwal
I’m a software investor and CEO coach who has advised/coached CEOs and owners of more than 100 companies in various industries. As a former Private Equity executive who has worked extensively in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for business, my strength has been helping business and technology leaders understand AI and data trends in the context of their domain and develop a comprehensive AI strategy for value creation - including M&A where appropriate.Besides technology, I strongly believe in the power of peer advisory groups and a robust network to help one grow - as a business or as a person. I became a Vistage advisory group Chair to help Austin’s brightest business owners and CEOs navigate the challenging landscape of today’s marketplace. I established the Executive Venture Fund (EVF) in partnership with a network of senior executives to bring Private Equity and M&A expertise to the world of VC investing. EVF is a Executive-network driven Venture Fund that invests exclusively in private owned early stage next-generation Enterprise SaaS AI/ML and Generative AI companies. Before Vistage & EVF, I served as a Managing Director at Vista Equity Partners - one of the most active software investors in the world, with $100B+ in capital commitments, 600+ Private Equity transactions, and a portfolio of 80+ enterprise software companies. At Vista, I established and led an AI Consulting Practice catering to the portfolio and also served as an AI expert to the M&A team. Outside of work, I’m fond of mountaineering and love to travel. I’ve done several treks of up to 130 kms and travelled to more than 40 countries across 6 continents. I\'ve also been part of the Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership, where I enjoy learning and contributing with an amazing group of like-minded leaders.
