About Ankur Gupta

I am a Staff Engineer at VMware, working for the Security Products Group that develops CarbonBlack, an innovative solution that leverages the virtualization layer to enable software defined security and manage security for SDDC infrastructure. I have been with VMware for more than six years, and I have contributed to key projects such as Carbonblack CWP, AppDefense Platinum and VMware Service-defined Firewall.I have over 14 years of IT industry experience, specializred in designing and building large-scale end-to-end Java based software systems. I have rich experience in using multiple caching solutions and dealing with extremely high amounts of data. I also have expertise in test-driven development, RESTful web services, and Amazon Web Services. I hold a MS degree in Software Systems from BITS Pilani and a BE in Computer Science from Rajasthan University. I have also completed a Post Graduate Program in Cloud Computing from Great Lakes Institute of Management. Additionally, I have been involved in consulting small scale companies for planning, building their products, and deciding product strategies. I am passionate about solving complex problems, learning new technologies, and delivering high-quality solutions.
