About Ankur Dobriyal
I lead the design and deployment of Industrialized Construction (IC) systems that enable faster, more resilient delivery of infrastructure and housing at scale. As Director of Off-Site Innovation at ADL Ventures, I work across federal agencies, public-sector partners, and mission-driven developers to translate industrialized construction from pilots into repeatable, procurement-ready delivery frameworks. My work spans advanced manufacturing, standardized design catalogs, cost and schedule modeling, and acquisition strategy—with a focus on making IC deployable inside real institutional systems.I am actively involved in the Federal Government\'s infrastructure innovation initiatives, including work recognized through the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), supporting the modernization of construction delivery for mission-critical facilities. In parallel, I contribute to HUD-funded research and Centers of Excellence focused on scaling industrialized construction for affordable housing and disaster recovery.Previously, I helped launch a first-of-its-kind “last-mile” modular manufacturing facility, standardized housing design catalogs, and delivery models that compressed delivery timelines by up to 50% and supported the deployment of much-needed affordable homes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.I also serve on the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Alternative Construction Methods (ACM) Working Group, contributing to national guidance on modular, panelized, and other industrialized delivery approaches for military and public infrastructure. At my core, I’m a builder—focused on turning complex systems into things that actually get delivered.
