About Ankit Potdar

I\'m a human-centered designer with a deep technical skill set and 12 years of experience in hybrid design+tech roles (aka Design Technologist, UX engineer, Design engineer). I move fluidly between product design, design engineering, and engineering execution, often bridging gaps between teams.I\'ve worked on novel and highly interactive interfaces, including GenAI experiences for Microsoft Copilot, TV and phone experiences for Prime Video, and voice interfaces for Amazon Alexa. I specialize in taking ideas from 0 to 1, then systematizing the design for scale.I focus on finding the right balance between user needs, emerging technology capabilities, and business goals. My key strengths include prototyping, proof-of-concepting, experience design, and systems thinking. I work closely with designers, product leadership, UX researchers, and applied scientists.I have an undergraduate degree in engineering and a Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction and design.

   I am part of the prototyping and incubation team at Adobe that works with emerging AI research, rapidly building proof of concept apps and functional product prototypes.In this role, I am often connecting emerging GenAI research with product and user needs. Blending product thinking, design craft, and engineering execution to build next generation of creativity products.Currently working on novel image and video models steerability paradigms (beyond text/image prompts), specifically for color controls (eg on brand colors).
