About Ankita Sancheti

Born in India, grew up in New York and spent a few years in South East Asia and now back to NY, I would say that I have a truly multicultural outlook when it comes to my views and my approach to how I work.I\'ve always been interested in how and why people around the world work, the behavioural economics behind the global labor force and the differences in preferences that lie between each talent pool, between ethnic groups, genders, even political parties. It is only natural that Employer Branding, talent attraction and the global issue of skill shortages attracted my attention early in my career. Since then, I have carried on various roles, consulting for the Gates Foundation on their efforts to close the skills gap in the US, for a Spanish Bank during a merger and then at Universum in Singapore, where I helped global and local companies develop their Employer Value Propositions and build their Employer Brands to capture the right talent at the right time IN the right place. In my current role with Cielo, my vision is to change the way we hire talent today. I\'m passionate about the topic of Employer Branding, and believe that there is room for us in the field to really expand the horizon. The biggest asset companies have today is their human capital and yet don\'t spend nearly the same time, energy and resources on attracting the right people than do in the packaging of product or service. In today\'s global yet local world, I\'m in the center of where the action is - the heart of our future lies in working smart, acquiring knowledge and brining in new innovations - which is only possible when we can ensure attracting talented individuals to propel us forward.
