I have recently taken on the role of Plant HR at Giriraj, marking my first on-ground experience in manufacturing HR. In this position, I am responsible for driving key HR functions at the factory level, ensuring both compliance and employee well-being are maintained to high standards.Key responsibilities include:Managing payroll, statutory compliance (PF, ESIC), and leave administrationConducting employee engagement activities and addressing worker grievances through regular floor interactionDelivering awareness programs on PF, ESIC, and workplace rightsOrganizing and facilitating trainings such as POSH, First Aid, Fire Safety, Digital Literacy, and Factory Wellness ProgramsCoordinating and preparing for multiple compliance audits including SEDEX, GOTS, and other social/technical auditsHandling government liaison for labor law matters and statutory obligationsThis role has given me a strong foundation in plant-level HR operations, enhanced my understanding of labor laws and compliance, and allowed me to contribute meaningfully to a safe, informed, and compliant workplace.
