ABOUT ANKIT YADAV

R&D material scientist with 8+ years of experience to design new experiment, writing scientific papers, and leading the 5+ members team. Expertise to develop alloy based anticorrosive coating for Green H2 production, and hybrid materials for next generation energy storage devices. I have ample knowledge regarding thin layer coating, Physicochemical, Electrochemical characterization and Data analysis. In my Postdoctoral research I explored 1D/2D Carbon, Si & Ti based nano-coating for next generation Binder free wearable and flexible electronics (Hybrid Supercapacitor, Li/Na-ion battery) using cutting-edge techniques i.e, Molecular/Atomic layer deposition (expert in various Hybrid M/ALD system i.e. Si-Ti, Ti-EG, Si-TMA, Ti-TMA), Spin coating, electrochemical deposition (ECD) and photolithography in cleanroom facility.Specialist - M/ALD, Ellipsometry, Spin Coating, Electrochemical techniques (CV, EIS, GCPL) Corrosion Study, SEM, Raman, XPS, XRD, EDX, FTIR, UV-Vis and TGA.During my Ph.D, I worked in the domain of 2D nano-materials (graphene) and their application as anticorrosive nano-coatings and large scale production of doped graphene for supercapacitor. Touching the corrosion inhibition part, I published 3 research articles. I took graphene oxide (GO) as a sub-nanometric coating layer in my initial two articles, which is grafted with different eco-friendly and non-precious inhibitors (Glycine, Alanine, and PABA) and coated on Fe nano-particles. Afterward, I studied the materials through various physical and electrochemical characterization techniques. Later on, I took GO/rGO/N-rGO as a sub-nanometer coating layer to determine the role of oxygen functionality for preventing metallic surface and physical, electrochemical and DFT studies confirm that among all coating (GO/rGO/N-rGO), GO coating demonstrates best anticorrosive shield due to the presence of oxygen moieties on its basal plane. The second part of my thesis deals with N-rGO supercapacitors, where I denote the detailed insight mechanism of ions movement and the variation of synthesis parameters such as the role of heteroatom-(N/S/P/B)-doping ratio, precursor concentration, synthesis time, pressure, and role of various dispersive organic solvent at different temperature. Additionally, I also explored the role of several non-precious, eco-friendly water-soluble nitrogen precursors at different ratios. As a key result, I observed that the optimum amount of N-doping (~5-6 %) under optimum synthesis conditions is suitable for enhancing the supercapacitance.
