About Ankit Tripathy

I began my career in Banking and Financial Services and then as I shifted to corporate finance, my interest grew in the evolution, growth, and latest developments impacting the capital markets, especially in the Emerging Markets. Over the last few years and mostly because of major fundamental changes in the world, I have been interested in sustainable finance and responsible investments. At EMAlpha, my areas of expertise are in understanding the impact of local news flow on ESG and the multiple ESG frameworks. I have worked on the interoperability of popular ESG frameworks like GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, and UN SDGs. I also have an understanding of local ESG reporting regulations and investors\' perspectives on sustainability. Prior to EMAlpha, I worked with Syndicate Bank in the executive cadre. Syndicate Bank is a Government of India-owned leading banking institution with a rich legacy of contributing to financial inclusion and expanding the reach of banking services in hitherto underserved or unserved areas. There I managed the Current and Savings Account (CASA) department, which is the major driver of growth and profitability for the organization, alongside handling the Jewel loan responsibilities. As required per my managerial role, I had to ensure smooth and compliant functioning of the bank as well as customer satisfaction in spite of the language barrier.
