India Recycles is dedicated to creating a structured and sustainable second-hand clothing ecosystem in India. Through our eight-month Live Action Project, which is a part of Anant fellowship LAP, guided by mentor Risha Roy and founders Renu Pokharna and Pranav, we aim to streamline collection, sorting, and redistribution to reduce textile waste and promote circular fashion. Our initiative bridges the gap between donor intentions and recipient needs while formalizing the role of informal waste workers to ensure fair livelihoods. By researching, developing policy recommendations, and engaging communities, we strive to make second-hand clothing a mainstream and aspirational choice.
