Responsible for daily cash operations including cash planning, executing wires and reporting in the US and Mexico. Serve as primary security administrator for JP Morgan, HSBC and Santander banking portals as well as secondary administrator for the Citibank portal. Support treasury hedging operations in the US and Mexico by executing FX related transactions in the FIS treasury system. Work with Hitachi Power Grids\'s front office in Zurich to ensure accuracy on monthly netting and quarterly hedging settlements. Assist with the development of policies and processes related to Treasury with a focus on strengthening compliance and controls. Responsible for timely month end reporting including booking journal entries into SAP for the US and Mexico. Primary contact for quarterly SOX controls in the US. Backup for daily cash operations in Canada. Selected Contributions: • Assisted in the carve-out of the treasury function from ABB to Hitachi Power Grids shortly after joining and ensured treasury operations were functioning smoothly before the official separation date in June. • Closed out unused bank accounts and reduced companywide banking fees. • Reduced company costs and streamlined operations for Power Grids Mexico by consolidating banking portal functions. • Optimized and streamlined treasury processes by implementing Sharepoint sites for all related requests.
