Concrete Testing - perform air, slump and temperature tests on concrete as per the specifications so as to determine the quality of the concrete. Compaction - perform compaction testing on clay, aggregates and asphalt. To determine if the material has been reached its capacity in terms of compaction. Sub-base inspection: perform proof rolls on the sub grade and aggregates. This is an alternative method for the compaction. There are many times where achieving the specified compaction is not possible despite the energy and work put in so then we do the proof roll to determine the compaction. Soils lab- perform Hydraulic Conductive tests to determine the seepage rate of the water out of clay and make engineering decisions on what can be done to improve the conditions- perform moisture contents, atterberg limits, torvene tests, consolidation tests etc.Aggregate lab- perform proctor tests, sieve analysis, soundness tests, LA Abrasion tests, CBR tests, etc.Asphalt lab- perform maximum dry density tests, make mix designs, and calculations related to it.
