About Anke-Thora M.

Industrial Engineer with 19 years of experience in Supply Chain Management. I started my career out as a manufacturing engineer where I successfully completed many continuous improvement projects that led to improved efficiencies for the companies I worked for. This led me to take roles such as Materials Manager, Category Manager, Senior Category Manager, Procurement Manager, and Global Category Manager. I never said no to a position in supply chain so I could get hands on experience through out each dept. to make myself a well rounded supply chain manager. In these roles I have been able to lead procurement teams in which I focused on not only the improvement of processes but the development of the team as a whole. These included: buying process, skill set improvements in RFQ and TCO for savings initiatives, contract negotiations (domestic & global), develop collaborative relationships within the organization to improve productivity and communication, collaborate with supply base from new product development to OTD improvement. I believe in providing the training and support so a team can be truly successful. This has led to multiple management roles where I have enjoyed training and mentoring the next generation of supply chain professionals.
