About Anjum Virani
I’m a third-year Psychology student at Mithibai College, with a keen interest in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. My major academic focus on Psychology, along with a minor in Philosophy, has helped me understand people deeply—both in theory and practice.Beyond the classroom, I’ve contributed to several social cause events and NGO collaborations, including work with old age homes and grassroots initiatives focused on public engagement, mental health awareness, and community impact. I’ve also taken a course on Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), which strengthened my understanding of how small actions can support someone’s mental well-being.Currently, I serve as the Campus Ambassador for Reliance Digital and Kreative Keeda Entertainment, representing their brands and initiatives on campus.Leadership has been a consistent part of my journey—from serving on the Student Council in school to being a team member at Mithibai Kshitij and Head of Hospitality at TEDxMithibaiCollege. These roles have sharpened my skills in event planning, public relations, and people management. They’ve also fueled my interest in Human Resources, where I aim to apply my people-first mindset in an organizational setting.Academically, I have previously studied Human Development across the lifespan and Social Psychology in depth. At present, I’m studying Organizational Behaviour, Cognitive Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and Psychometric Systems as part of my major coursework, along with exploring different experimental methods in practicals.Overall, I hold a CGPA of 8.45+, and I’m actively exploring opportunities in HR and organizational culture where psychology meets people strategy.
