ABOUT ANJU WOLDT
Hannah Montana showed me the American dream and taught me English as I was growing up in Japan. Immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 12 taught me the importance of hard-working and humbleness. Having two cultures inside of me gave me the confidence to be unique and appreciate the diversity within me. As one of immigrants and first generation college students, I know the importance of consistent work and commitment to myself, my peers and for my career. My first job was at Yogurtland at the age of 16 years old. I started this job as my summer job and I didn\'t think about continuing after the summer is over. But quickly I learned the satisfaction of getting paid for the hours of my commitment. It felt like the one big step forward to become an adult and be responsible. I was promoted to be a shift lead at the age of 17 and I trained new employees, ensure the quality and quantity of inventory and be an efficient worker. The two years of working at Yogurtland opened my door to enjoy my work environment and responsibility that comes with getting paid. Working for Ra Yoga taught me the strong bond in the community and its impact on individual life. As a receptionist, I know how important it is to have positive energy and be organized and efficient to help/assist customers. On February 2020, Ra Yoga transitioned to class reservation system. During that time, we received many phone calls, emails and in-person questions. Some of the confusion led to overcrowded studio but I managed to find the solutions for each concern and confusion. I maintained to be calm when I deal with issues. The community I am part of gave me confidence, experience of dealing with customers face to face, and most importantly to work with others with compassion and positivity. Today, I am a Senior at CSUF and majoring in accounting. I am a hard working and I strive to be a faithful representation of the company. I believe that studying Accounting gave me the knowledge that will be useful for my future as an accountant but most importantly, the importance of accurate representation of the company to build trust and be successful as a career woman.
