Working on the endline phase of the Waste Segregation Behavior research study, I am responsible for conducting follow-up surveys to evaluate long-term behavioral shifts in waste management. My role extends beyond data collection to include rigorous physical verification, where I audit household waste baggage prepared for the Haritha Karma Sena. By cross-referencing these physical observations with self-reported data, I ensure the highest level of data integrity and field accuracy for the IIM Kozhikode research team. This process is vital for identifying genuine improvements in community recycling practices and validating the effectiveness of the project’s earlier interventions.

ABOUT ANJITH NAIR

I am a development oriented professional from Calicut, Kerala, currently pursuing an MBA in Human Resource Management. My work spans public service delivery, community engagement, field research, and youth development. I am particularly interested in how individuals and systems interact to produce sustainable and meaningful social change. My understanding of governance deepened through the District Collector’s Internship Program in Kozhikode, where I contributed to initiatives in public health, social inclusion, and community development. This exposure provided practical insight into how government programmes operate at the grassroots level and how communication and behavioural change influence public outcomes.I am presently engaged in field research with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode on household waste management and segregation behaviour. This work has strengthened my interest in evidence based policymaking and community-centred development. In parallel, I serve as a soft skills trainer and youth mentor with the Vijnana Keralam project under K-DISC, supporting learners in building communication, confidence, and career readiness.I am particularly interested in opportunities within public policy, governance, education, human resources, and development research. I value purposeful work, collaborative learning, and meaningful conversations that contribute to positive, long term social impact.
