Developed specifications for highly automated assembly lines for dual and single motor Electric Drive Units, leading and managing equipment design, automation and process projects from initial concept to full-scale production. • Led efforts to design, simulate, test, procure, install/commission, and deploy manufacturing automation equipment for Electric Drive units to production • Managed integrators during specification, design, FAT and installation of drive unit manufacturing equipment, characterizing and validating new equipment and fixtures before release to production. • Provided design for manufacture/ assembly (DFM/X) feedback to the Product Engineering team for Future Drive unit programs to ensure assembly processes are cost-effective, robust, and efficient. Led research and development activities for new manufacturing technologies that address assembly and automation challenges. • Provided technical expertise, training, standard work documentation, and troubleshooting guidance to operations, identifying and driving corrective actions for process quality and performance issues, • Responsible for in-house development of workstations, manufacturing equipment and fixtures. • Partnered with and managed expectations between cross-functional teams to ensure stakeholder engagement and satisfaction with the engineering solutions delivered, and developed standards and processes as a foundation for how the Manufacturing Engineering team operate.
