ABOUT ANJALI KHURANA
I am a Ph.D. student in the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University (SFU) with a research focus on understanding how users perceive breakdowns in LLM-based assistants for software help-seeking and AR/mixed reality applications under the supervision of Dr. Parmit Chilana. My research has been published in top HCI conferences: ACM CHI 2025, ACM IUI 2024, ACM IMWUT 2023, and VLHCC 2021. I am a mixed-method researcher and have experience conducting user studies, experiments, user interviews, and survey design. I enjoy working on the design space (iterative design and prototyping, user-centered design approach), and applying LLM models to cater to software user needs. Before coming to SFU, I interned in product development in Atlanta, USA, and a two-month technical mentorship program at IIT Hyderabad.
