About Anjali Joshi
I’m a senior pharmaceutics leader with a Ph.D. and more than 20 years of experience guiding drug product development organizations through scientific, operational, and regulatory complexity. My career spans small molecules, biologics, and ophthalmic therapeutics, with a consistent focus on building strong teams, shaping CMC strategy, and driving clarity and alignment across cross‑functional groups. At Alcon, I lead Drug Product Development for the RTP site, overseeing multi‑site, matrixed teams responsible for advancing both new chemical entities and established ophthalmic products. I play a key role in portfolio governance, organizational decision‑making, and technical due diligence for business development. Earlier leadership roles at Aerie Pharmaceuticals, Recipharm, Eisai, and Cirrus Pharmaceuticals broadened my experience across sterile and non‑sterile formulation, protein therapeutics, lyophilization, clinical manufacturing, and global regulatory pathways. Across these organizations, I’ve built new capabilities, led quality‑system evolution, mentored diverse scientific teams, and guided programs through all stages of the drug product lifecycle. I’m motivated by leading teams through ambiguity, creating environments where scientists can do their best work, and ensuring that drug products are developed with scientific rigor, operational excellence, and a clear line of sight to patient and business needs.
