About Anja Scholze
I am neurobiologist by training who is passionate about democratizing access to science and empowering everyone to explore living systems as a creative and problem solving medium. At The Tech Interactive in Silicon Valley I lead the design and development of interactive museum experiences to engage visitors in biotechnology, health, and the life sciences. Currently, I am focused on bringing to life a new type of museum space, a community bio-makerspace, that houses one-of-a-kind hands-on activities at the intersection of biology, design and technology.

Create activities for the Biotinkering Lab that aim to empower everyone to use biological systems as creative, problem-solving mediums. Principal Investigator for the NIH Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA). Document, evaluate, and share our first-of-its kind museum bio-makerspace. Develop partnerships and collaborations with local artists, educators, and industry experts. Currently developing a hands-on biomaterials activity using kombucha.
