ABOUT ANIYAH BRAVEBOY

As a first-generation law student committed to social justice, I aim to use my legal education to effect community change and advocate for systemic reform. I am currently an Associate at Ziliak Law, specializing in financial services, litigation, entertainment, and media law. In this role, I handle complex legal tasks such as drafting offers of judgment, preparing whistleblower complaints, and engaging with clients on strategic issues. This hands-on experience has honed my skills in navigating intricate legal frameworks, particularly in the entertainment and media sectors.I am pursuing a Juris Doctor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law with a focus on Business and Entertainment Law, aimed at merging my legal expertise with my commitment to empowering minority communities. My educational background in Social and Behavioral Sciences and a certificate in Political History and Leadership enhances my understanding of the socio-legal dynamics within the entertainment industry. Beyond academics, my involvement with the Lawyers for the Creative Arts allows me to provide pro bono legal services to artists and nonprofits, directly addressing issues of economic equality and diversity. Through my legal practice and community engagement, I strive to educate and empower underrepresented groups, ensuring they have representation in the entertainment and media realms.My career goal is to champion the rights and opportunities of those traditionally marginalized in the entertainment industry, working towards a more inclusive and equitable future.
