ABOUT ANITA OSEKO
I never thought I\'d trade my stethoscope for a Python script. After completing my pharmacy degree and internship, I found myself drawn to questions that couldn\'t be answered with clinical instinct alone. I kept noticing patterns in patient outcomes, gaps in medication adherence, systems that needed improving. I kept thinking: what if we could see the bigger picture? What if we could predict who needs extra support before they end up back in hospital? That curiosity led me from the pharmacy counter to a Master\'s in Health Data Science at the University of Manchester (graduating December 2025 with Distinction). And honestly? I caught fire with data. Suddenly, messy datasets weren\'t frustrating—they were puzzles waiting to be solved. Building a causal inference model felt like detective work. Watching a Power BI dashboard come together and actually tell a story about COPD patients? Oddly satisfying. Now I\'m that person who gets genuinely excited explaining hypertension trends to friends over dinner.(They\'ve learned to just let me have my moment.)What I\'m doing now:Working as a Health Data Scientist with Gynomics Ltd, a DeepTech startup developing AI diagnostics for preterm birth prevention. I\'m analyzing NHS data to identify optimal hospital partners for clinical pilots—translating epidemiology into strategy, which combines everything I love about healthcare and data.My toolkit:Python | R | Power BI | SQL | Causal Inference | Epidemiology | Clinical Research | Data Visualization | Statistical AnalysisPortfolio highlights:NHS COPD service analysis and visualization (Power BI)Global hypertension trends analysis (Python)Causal inference research in healthcare (R)What I\'m looking for:Health data science or analyst roles in the UK where I can bring both my clinical background and analytical expertise. I\'m particularly drawn to work in public health, healthcare analytics, or pharmacovigilance—anywhere data meets real patient impact. You can\'t analyze healthcare data in a vacuum—you need to understand the systems and people behind the numbers. That\'s the perspective I bring.Available immediately | Graduate visa from January 2026 | Open to sponsorship opportunitiesLet\'s connect if you\'re working at the intersection of healthcare and data.
