ABOUT ANITA OBIEKWU
I\'m more than a Product Manager; this is just the title that I go by. I have a wealth of experience & diverse skills that I have picked up from wearing multiple hats while building startups. I have also amassed great experience while mentoring, building & leading high-performing individuals in arguably the Canadian favorite startup success story (Shopify). I discovered Product Management several years ago when my Lead became aware that I was unhappy as a Software Developer and said \"You\'ll be a great Product Manager; the number of \"whys\" you ask me daily is a strong indicator.\" As he predicted, I have loved and been great at Product Management. Building a product is quite similar to building a startup (little wonder PMs have been called mini CEOs) & this is where I shine. Some of my favorite Product Success stories include; taking a product from $0 to over in annual revenue and building an idea into a product that caught the attention & the investment of Amazon. When I\'m not working, I\'m mentoring small business owners in Canada & women in Canada looking to transition into technology.
