I manage global prosecution and enforcement of the Invisalign, iTero Element and other industry-leading innovative brands of this fast-growing company in the medical device industry. On a regular basis, I negotiate settlements with clients who misuse the brand, educate internal partners about proper trademark usage, and select and supervise foreign counsel. I also collaborate with regional Legal and Commercial teams and Competitive Intelligence on competitive issues and work cross-functionally with all levels and departments to devise and implement brand enforcement processes and strategies.Some of my further achievements in this role include: Increasing internal department awareness—including EMEA and global marketing teams, developing improved brand guidelines and improving client experience and education, thereby enforcing brand consistency and protection. Managing trademark portfolio through exponential growth of brand and company from annual revenue of $200M to $2B. Successfully applying enforcement actions to infringements increasing by over 400% in a two-year period.In my prior role as Senior Paralegal, I managed six concurrent litigations filed against a single competitor (all were brought to a successful outcome for the company). Additionally, I supervised foreign counsel, coordinated trademark clearance with marketing teams, selected a database and managed the prosecution, conducted in-depth legal and investigative research, prioritized and developed enforcement action plans and performed data entry to ensure accuracy.
